1、 Send to shore for disposal
It shall be received by a qualified ship pollutant receiving unit. The pollutant receiving document must be signed and confirmed by both parties and retained for at least 2 years. The pollutant receiving document shall indicate the name of the operation unit, the names of the ships of both parties, the time and place of the start and end of the operation, as well as the type and quantity of garbage.
II. Incineration disposal
For ships equipped with incinerators, the records after each incineration must include the date, time, ship position at the beginning and end of incineration (ship longitude and latitude), classification of incinerated waste, and estimated amount of each type of incinerated waste (in cubic meters).
3、 Crushing discharge
Discharge the food waste treated by crusher or grinder at a place not less than 3 nautical miles from the land. The crushed or ground food waste must be able to pass through a coarse screen with a sieve opening of no more than 25mm. Food wastes that have not been crushed or ground shall be discharged at a distance of not less than 12 nautical miles from the land.
